Arc Application Builder Screen Cast Tutorials
The following series of screen cast tutorials are intended to provide the information needed to create a form (.APL file) using ESRI's ArcPad Application Builder 7.1. APL files allow users to edit shapefile fields in ArcPad, using an evaluation form rather than a data table.
Each screen cast covers the topics described below. The screen casts have been developed in an orderly sequence; however, if you are interested in a specific topic, most can also be referenced individually.
1. Introduction - Create a new layer definition file (form) for a shape file
2. Create a new combo box control in your form
3. Create radio button controls
4. Create check box controls and text box controls
5. Create a slider control
6. Create pages with activation contingent upon radio button answers
7. Create buttons and script for buttons
8. Create new shapefile fields in Arc Catalog and attach fields to controls
9. Launch and test your form and shapefile in ArcPad
10. Load your project onto a PDA
For additional information on any of these topics, open Arc Application Builder’s help menu and enter the italicized terms into the search box.
