How to Use Two Displays in the Lab
In the Big Lab
- Log into the computer, then click Start and go to Settings.
- Open your control panel and open the NVIDIA nView Desktop Manager.
- Under the "Desktop Management" tab make sure the nView Desktop Manager features are enabled.
- Open the "Windows" tab and click the box that says "Enable window spanning across multiple displays".
- Open the "Desktops" and near the bottom check the box that says "Enable multiple desktops" then click "Apply"
- Press the "2" button under the clone monitor. In the top corner you should see the word "Analog."
- Pressing the "2" button again will set it back to digital mode so you can see your professor's desktop.
Note: only the left station can access dual display, the right station cannot. Each time you log off you may have to repeat the process to access the dual display once again.
In the Small Lab
- On the clone monitor, press the "Source" button once. (There are actually buttons on the front of the monitor. Just press directly on the word "Source".) Each press of the button will toggle between the monitor being a clone and being a dual display monitor.
