Term Accounts

 

SSIL has available 90 day accounts in the SSIL Labs. This account will include the use of the software package that you need, and a print quota. Fees are assessed to create the account -- GIS accounts are $45 and an SPSS account is $20. To find out more about why SSIL charges an additional fee for using its facilities, read below.

 

 

About SSIL's Fees

SSIL charges a fee to students enrolled in courses that utilize the labs as part of their course work. The fee pays for software, printing, consulting support, reserved lab time, and general class support. For the online courses, the fee pays for the proctoring services the lab provides for the course. The revenues generated by the fees are put directly back into the SSIL labs. The revenues pay for hardware upgrades, software and software upgrades, server maintenance, paper and consultant wages.

 

The multiple course discount SSIL offers is $10 off the second SSIL class, $15 off the third SSIL class, and the fourth SSIL class is free. The discount is applied to classes taken during the same term. This request must be made during the term to which the discount will apply. The UO Business Office will mail a check to your home address after SSIL processes the discount.
